GOVERNANCE
The Université Internationale de la Mer (UIM) is an accredited professional maritime training center and a platform of expertise and teaching on the Blue Economy and the sustainable management of marine and coastal areas.
It is registered as an “Association” in the terms of the French 1901 Law.
Maritime training
As an accredited professional maritime training center, UIM trains trainees for maritime certificates and diplomas (STCW 2010 standard), as well as for specific training courses that meet the needs of the professional maritime activity.
Sustainable Blue Economy training
As a platform of expertise on the sustainable Blue Economy, UIM provides training for public authorities, private operators, and students – in France and abroad – with a view to a sustainable management of marine and coastal areas.
